Can I use the charger at the summer house or in an older installation?

Yes. The charger runs at a fixed 6 A, a low draw that suits older circuits. An EV draws current for hours on end, which is a different demand from a kettle running for three minutes, so a low, steady current is the sensible choice in an older summer house. If you are unsure what condition the circuits are in, have an electrician look at the fuse board first.

At 6 A the charger delivers around 1.4 kW, which works out to roughly 14 kWh over ten hours, or about 80 km of range. Two nights over a weekend add around 28 kWh. Keep the charging circuit to itself while a session runs, so no water heater, oven or heat pump on the same group, and check that the group is not already shared with half the house. The built-in over-temperature protection monitors the charger throughout and stops the session if it runs warmer than it should.
