Citroëns långa och låga flaggskepp, någonstans mellan sedan och kombi, säljs sedan 2022 som Plug-in Hybrid 225 och på vissa marknader även som 180. Båda kombinerar en 1,6 PureTech-motor med en elmotor på 81 kW. Batteriet rymmer 12,4 kWh, varav 11,3 kWh är användbara. Som standard laddar bilen med 3,7 kW, och 7,4 kW var ett tillval. Båda laddar på en fas. Med 7,4 kW-laddaren tar C5 X 32 A från en fas, med standardladdaren 16 A. Eftersom bilen bara använder en fas, är det laddboxens inställning som avgör takten. En laddbox på 11 kW lämnar normalt 16 A per fas till bilen, vilket ger båda versionerna 3,7 kW, så att batteriet är fullt efter knappt fyra timmar. Med 32 A på den fas som bilen använder går 7,4 kW-versionen på full effekt och är klar på under två timmar. Kabeln passar också om hushållet senare skaffar en elbil till, även en med snabbare laddare.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eC5 X är 4,80 m lång, och porten sitter bak till vänster. Backar du in, hamnar luckan vid väggen, och till en laddbox på vänster sida räcker 6 m kabel gott. Kör man in framlänges, går kabeln längs hela den långa sidan, vilket kräver 8 m. Är en annan bil parkerad mellan C5 X och väggen, passar 10 m vid backning och 15 m framlänges.
