Med AC Charging Professional laddar bilen med fulla 22 kW, både från laddboxar och från publika laddstationer med den effekten, och BMW anger 4 timmar och 15 minuter från tomt till fullt för 40 xDrive och 5 timmar och 30 minuter för 50 xDrive. Standardladdaren tar 11 kW från en vanlig trefasig laddbox på 11 kW, vilket enligt BMW ger 8 timmar och 15 minuter respektive 11 timmar. En kabel på 11 kW skulle begränsa en bil med 22 kW-laddare till 11 kW, så 22 kW-kabeln täcker båda utrustningsnivåerna.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eLaddluckan sitter baktill till höger, så backar du in, hamnar den alldeles intill väggen, och för en laddbox på samma sida är sex meter kabel tillräckligt. Om en annan bil står mellan iX4 och väggen, välj tio meter för backning och 15 meter för inkörning framlänges.
